His full time practice provides the finest quality of therapeutic services to a diverse range of clients without any form of discrimination. Dr. Matos has been in the addiction field for the last 13 years. As a Social Worker he strives for Latino rights and entitlements. He is a highly skillful and trained Clinician specialized in Trauma, mood disorders, chemical dependency, Alcoholism, Relapse Prevention, crisis, intervention, and has planned culturally oriented interventions for families affected by alcoholism, drugs, and mental illness.

Dr. Matos also provides professional Supervision, EAP services to major, organizations, and is a NYS OASAS Education and Training provider. He provides and individualized CASAC curriculum. In addition, he has been trained as a Structural Family Therapist. He is an active member of the NASW: Addiction and Private Practice Sections. Additionally, he has presented multiple workshops for a broad range of mental providers. He is a first generation Mestizo - Latino immigrant from Peru and speaks fluent Spanish.
